sick vs.powers

i gotta 636 and f4i and just got my SI subcage from ian for my f4i.just thought id share some info on both
powers subcage on the 636 is built for war, must say it look stronger than SI but they coulda stuffed the crossbar in a lil tighter to the undertail for a cleaner look.I had to add washers between the peg mounts and the subcage cuz the subcage was too wide.they also have there peg mounts drilled out way bigger than stock mounts and send you bigger bolts.guess they want you do drill out the stockers.I still jus used the stock bolts.Powers peg design is nice, but a lil short.seems like half your foot just hangs off.and on top of it all, there service could be better.Sick innovations.Id say doesnt look as tough, but the design looks way better.Bolted right up with no hassle.crossbar tucked in tight and just overall looks SICK.There pegs are a bit long but with better grip than the powers.Si's footpegs are threaded and powers is just a bolt that runs through the peg and subcage.I prefer the way powers mounts up.My Si pegs come loose a bit.Id say a powers design peg thats just lil longer, but still shorter than Si would be perfect.just my opinion.I think overall Id recomend SI.FAST shipping and BETTER service! just me 1cent

Re: sick vs.powers

no problem...its no bog deal...alot of guys using powers just rock the shorty pegs..but u got people like t-neck and others that run long ones...my buddy i ride local with uses long ones and tears up combos with them...but his team mate uses shorty ones and can pull the same stuff off...its all personal preference...i persoanlly use the short ones...

Re: sick vs.powers

the long pegs are just more leverage to bend things when you crash.....

solid peg cages were just made like that because they are easier to build not because they are better for any thing ,folding pegs are the only way to go in my oppinion...

and the cross bar on most subcages are to far forward so if the tire hits them it will pull the swing arm up and let the tire dig in ,they should be further back and higher so this doesn't happen ......

OMR SUBCAGES are of the folding peg design and the cross bar is located further back and up out of the way of the tire....
$175 shipped

Re: sick vs.powers

Maybe I just dont know **** about anything but I though that the solid peg was better because after a stock flolding peg kept taking a beatin, they would snap under pressure. I worry about that doing a staggered. I read a post once about something like that.

Negatory good buddy... the few that did rub in initial production have been modified... LOTS of clearance with all models now!
