flipped 636 clipons straight /standups

I have my stock clipons on my 04 636 flipped ,and Ive got them going straight across. Ive been riding this bike for about a month now and Ive had the clipons turned out for a few weeks. I love how they feel and where they are for sit down circles and sitdowns in general no handers etc. They feel nice rollin out my endos ,and steering into 180s. But alot of times when,I clutch up my standups lft foot rear peg from a stop to BP or catch it with the brake ,My throttle hand seems to keep twisting. So Im on the gas alot after I initially clutch it up. Ive been clutchin up standups for many years with stock clipons, not flipped. Has any one else with the same setup (flipped going perfectly straight across) had to make adjustments to the angle of them because of this or have had the same issue?

I could not stand clip ons flipped upside down, i just turned mine outwards. Upgraded to the 0 degree and run them straight across... cant beat em!

i kno wut u mean....but i have mine almost straight, at a slight angle....i have gottnen into the habbit of re-gripping the throttle hand once up to bp...just kinda automatic these days...

turn them back a lil bit it helps and is a bit more comfortable than 90*

HAHAHAHA, am I the onlu one that caught that?!?! He likes his flipped clip-ons for no-handers?!?! LOL just messing with you guy... try turing them in a little bit so that they arent straight across... might like them a little more then... in any case... when trying something new (DB's, flipped clips, new bike, etc) you have to give it time to adjust and get used to it...

good luck, let us know what you end up with

haha ,lol man ,you know what I mean ,when youre hands are off ,the clipons are right there to grab. Anyways I think from the general concensus and my common sence not coming into effect till after reading these ,I just need to turn them in a bit. I'll be doing that tomorrow ,right on thanks for all the input..

Re: flipped 636 clipons straight /standups

I ran mine flipped and switched and on top of the triple at 0 degrees for a couple months. Yeah it ***** with your wrists especially when you're about to highside and you're trying to fight against the bike. They have a rediculous amount of upwards angle.

I have them turned back maybe 5 degrees now. Works great. Only downside is they're not wide enough and I have to take my time tucking through.

I was wondering about running them on top of the triple that would make more sense having them higher. But the 0 degree is definately getting unzeroed , its a bit awkward
for anything other than sitdowns..
