Midwest Step Up
Hmmm, I like them all, but putting the best riders in Florida is a big statement. Yeah, Florida is nice and sunny, but you get to ride all year round. Up here in the Midwest you may see our talents as mediocre or even equal, but you have to remember that we only get about 5 to 6 months of riding in a year.
I like Kyles idea so much, I want to do the same with the midwest. So, I guess this would be a battle of the videos.
ANY NONE FLORIDA TEAMS ONLY, I'm talking to you KC's Most Wanted, Head Shake, Legion, Psychogang, Vertical Mischief, and More.
Same deal, just send us your best raw footage, no more than a 1hr tape & mini dv only.
Also send a letter with all the advertising info, website, sponsors, were your from, riders names. Hell even a quick bio would be cool. Kyle is right, this makes your sponsors happy, hell, with this you might just GET some sponsors.
Send that Mini DV to:
Gimix
2508 Canterbury Road #158
Urbandale, Iowa 50322
Not sure on a deadline yet, but since we are Midwest, let's say November 1st, because usually we are freezing our asses off by then wishing we could stunt.
This is nothing against Kyle or a challenge, I do this because I love ya bro.

yep
yeah, I wanted this to be by itself. I didn't want to create a challenge and even PM'ed Kyle to let him know I respect his skills and what he is doing. I see it as just another JD video, but I want to do it differently.
I want everyone in the midwest to submit footage, put it together with some great editing, and then instead of keeping the money to myself I would divide it among the groups who participated.
This year our group has started to compete in the XSBA's so I have been spending my weekends with Ken Abbott and Thew. Ken is an incredible guy because he has been doing it all for the love of the sport and I believe Thew is a great Embassidor. So I have been sucking up all they information they have to offer.
Basically, I want to do my part to do the same and I think this could be a great way for some 'no names' to get some recognition and some dough since we all know we do most of this out of our own pockets.

Props to Kyle on putting out the wake up call all of the crews out there should have been doing this a long time ago to showcase their talent & have something to show sponsors & to rep where they are from best of luck to all of the stunnaz out there getting together to do this it just takes everything to the next level and remember the USA has the best Stunnaz in the world let's take advantage of it

More on the Midwest
Here is the deal. I was quietly working to get with the different midwest groups to produce a Judgement Day style video. However, I wanted to do it with a twist. I want to do it that way, but I want the groups that get involved to get the cash.
I have no problem with putting my heart and soul into something that I believe in and only come out with what I put into it. Kyles idea just made me decide that I needed to do it now.
Basically, I agree that Florida has some kick *** riders, hell, Cali is the same way. However, being 'climatically challenged' in the Midwest I believe we all have that extra something. Not only are we at the top of our games it doesn't take long for us to learn the new stuff that the southern states throw out. We even put out new tricks from the Midwest, look at Dan Jackson.
BUT, this is why I love the midwest riders so much, we have about 4 to 5 or 6 months MAX at the most to do it. Then sit off bikes for months at a time waiting to get it going again.
All in All I love this sport and I want to take it up a notch, but I have been traveling around seeing these guys that rock, but get no props. I figure there could be another JD style video where they are going to just get exposure, or there could be a JD style video that puts a little of that dough they spend fixing bikes, paying tickets, creating shirts, etc., back into THEIR pockets.
And, from me, I love watching Kyle ride, he is awesome, and I'm sure his video will be off the chain when it comes out, but how cool would it be for that video to come out and then a Midwest one coming out with the same things with people knowing, DAMN they have less time to ride than they do. Maybe it is just me, but I think if everyone gets involved in this, with some help, I can do this and make sure people get the props they need and deserve.

I'd do it for the hell of it, but it'd almost be pointless. Anything I can do, 90% of the world can. Sure it'd be fun, but who wants to see some fat bastard ***** up an R1? LMAO I'll see if I can get you something crazy SpongeBob PattyPants. Don't think for a minute that I have editing skillz either........it would definetly be raw. HEHE
how are you going to divide the money? i mean if team A sends you clips and you use say 4 min worth of clips. then team B sends you clips and you only use 1 or 2, maybe 30 sec worth. how would that get divided, obviously each team shouldn't get the same amount back. maybe there is a third, team C, that sends a really really sic trick or crash but the rest of their footage is total crap. they don't deserve to get the same amount back as team A whos skill is far beyond their level. i'm not saying this is bad idea, not at all. i really like the idea of giving back to the stunnas that put time in and send in their footage! there are just alot of logistics(hope thats spelled right) to work out. hope you thought this through all the way. just stayin on the level.......TED

Good Question
Ted, you make a good point. Mostly I want it to be known that I am giving back to the groups, what I am given. Money or DVD's at cost for them to sell themselves. Working on a distributor and getting it all together.
Wheelie Boy, make sure you get Control Coalitions and IBWS to get in contact with me to send in footage.

how about any money that is made goes to stuntlife??? Ya know Greg gives us this board, supports the major and upcoming groups by coming to our events and gets what??? 5 dollars a month from each group that has a section here??? I know I am doing other things to give Greg a hand but why not one step further?

.The only way to equally accomidate teams is to give them a case of videos 50-100. Sounds cheap, by try it any other way and let the drama door open

???
Well, I'm not sure if you are talking about me, or the donations to Sugga, but the plan is to either give out cuts to what is submitted and time used, or sell the DVD's at cost to the teams that want it that way and they can make whatever they want off the project.
