Hyperpro Dampers for rolling big?

i got a Q about the new hyperpro dampers. it says on the box they are speed sensitive dampers.. doesnt that suck for stoppies?
i asked for a conventional (linear) damper, not a progressive damper.
also, i dont think its very stiff!! or are they stiff enough?

any input??

i want to roll big so i need to be safe!

Re: Hyperpro Dampers for rolling big?

dont you want the dampening to be equal all the time?? so a slapper doesnt have the chance to even begin? i had a bitubo with a little play in it and at almost the heaviest setting it gave me this: http://movie.rwpstuntriding.com/StoppieWheelyday.wmv

i already posted this to you in another thread, but, thats sick, the way you fought through that!!!! Also, i think a dampner is only an aid, not a fix-all. i would recommend, from my experience, a top mount, such as a scotts or GPR, they seem to work best for people that i ride with...

do your self a favor and go with gpr or scotts...every hyperpro i've had and rod style have been blowing seals and leaking from having them on the highest or high settings all the time.nice height on those too..i just got back on the bike from catching a nasty slapper and breaking my collar bone at a comp...and i had a rod style Matris which let me down...now i roll with a gpr

a rotary damper is nice, yeah but customer service and stuff is difficult since i'm in europe.. costs a lot to send and stuf..
my stick style bitubo worked GREAT until it got some play and they didnt want to fix it for me.. so i said **** it.

Re: Hyperpro Dampers for rolling big?

okay on the damper itself it says CSC which means lineair. thank god.
maybe hyperpro can rebuild with a little bit thicker oil?

My .02

Rod type dampers > than rotary style (scotts etc)... rotary have more "slop" in my opinion

I rock a Toby, its pimp, have rolled 650+ with it no problems
