f4i tail bracing
Re: f4i tail bracing
are u referring to the tube under the rear seat that goes across the subframe? if so, then i found a threaded rod at home depot that i think is 3/8 of an inch and it fits in the tube perfectly. i think it's 12" long. i slid it through the tube and subframe. i bolted it on both sides and it works just fine.

Re: f4i tail bracing
i make my tails 100% fiberglass, i use a stock tail as a mold. its alot of work takes about 2-3weeks to make one, but its 50x stronger than a stock tail, and when it hits the ground it doesnt crack
Re: f4i tail bracing
That sounds cool, may have to try that. But come on turtle just let it crack and zip tie that bitch.
Re: f4i tail bracing
i use the piece of wood method... u gotta modify it to fit but its a piece or plywood and it sits right behind the driver seat... wish i had pics.... it works and ive had the same tail on for a yr and a half....
Re: f4i tail bracing
whoa, i was way off with my first post on here. i have a piece of wood in between the front and rear seat and it rests on the subframe. it's just a little board to stand on, basically.

let me know what you hear that'll work so I can brace my tail too
