i think the 636 is more fragile, its more a good stunt bike for someone who doesnt toss their bike across the parking lot all the time. the f4i will take way more abuse

i would diffently stay with teh 636 for a few reasons... its newwer for one, i think its a better stunt bike... and i have f4is ..... they just feel shitty to ride.... i mean i would agree that the 636 wont take the same abuse as the F4i but your new to the game you said so either way your gonna be spending some money on parts....... i guess at the end of the day its person preferance.. i mean i ride a 05 gxsr6 so what would i kno..

I say keep the 636!!! I have had both. I don't agree for a second that the f4i is a stronger bike. My 636 has been through some **** that the my 929 and f4i didn't hold up to, hence why I own a 636 and busted *** 929.

Oh, and there is about a 2000$ diff in book value on the two bikes.

I'd trade it. Kawi's resale is awful so you're value prob isn't much off of the honda if its as nice/modded as yours. Ask for a lil cash to boot. If you're gonna ride a 636, trade for an 03/04 model. They're way more comfortable than the 05+'s. I traded my stock 04 636 for a setup 02 f4i and a spare motor and I'm pleased with my trade. The only thing everyone seems to change out on the hondas that ya dont on the kawi is the forks. Get enough cash to swap out your forks if they aren't already.

If you decide you want an f4i and your buddy backs out I will trade you, I live an hour away. I have a 2002 F4i with a stunt and mint fairing set and tanks, stock and cut Leo Vinci pipe, 9000 miles, set up with cage, sprockets, oil pickup, manual CTT, pretty much everything but a handbrake, can throw in some dough too '

got lots of pictures if your interested

Re: new in stunting. should i trade my 636 for f4i?

My point of view after owning both in the last month...

636 - Killer looking, inverted forks, loads more torque, but lots of little **** breaks like fairing mounts, upper stay, radiator tabs, etc... I can't do circles but people say these bikes are almost "easy" to circle in comparison

F4i - not quite as good looking, but the throttle seems smoother and easer to control once you're up, but it doesnt come up as easy. I've seen ones pretty beat up though and the little stuff doesn't break nearly as much, you can't beat honda's toughness in their build quality...

Start out bike, get an F4i, when you got good control of it and don't wreck much step up to the 636, thats my plan at least. I been out of the game for 2 years and feel like a complete squid on my bike again.

I thing the 05/06's are way more comfortable then the 03/04.

As far as resale goes, I've never lost a penny on a 636 and I've sold at least 15 of em...
