yeah one of your peers on the cover this month doing a wheelie... mag doesn't support stunters though.

kinda what I expected to hear eventually. And what "peer" or mine is on the cover?

This was meant to be a lil more light hearted and funny than to say you're a sell-out to the stretched blah blah blah chrome ******.......we all know where the money is and what you guys gotta do to make money and stay in business.

I'm just tossin a funny pic up of the renewal in the trash because its funny, people have commented so already!

Its not the same mag I subscribed too. IF I see it taking a B-line back to stunt riding CONSISTENTLY, not once in awhile when you guys are tired of flaming on here, then I will be the first in line to sign up a new subscription, with or without a renewal discount! Until then, I'll keep an eye on it, and if one of my "peers" is on the cover that I know and there is finally something interesting in it, I'll pay the shelf price for that mag and take it with me, but the other 9 out of 10 mags you guys put out that are all stretched custom busa's and R1's, and guides on which chrome levers to buy, will stay on the shelf, and that mag that I woulda bought will end up in the dumpster behind Barnes and Noble.

I don't hate ya for trying to put out a mag that makes money bro.....its just not a mag making money FROM ME right now....just like an ATV mag, FMX mag, videogame mag, hollywood insider mag, or a custom "tuner" car mag, none of em are what I'm interested in.....I'm interested in stunt riding and what I'm going to be doing for a living....thats where I'm spending my money. Keep doing ur thing, either someone will or someone won't put out a primarily stunt oriented magazine covering comps, street rides (like next weeks Ride Of The Century in STL......which if you have ANY stunt coverage left in that mag, you'll have someone covering that for sure!), if a mag like that comes along, I'll sign up instantly!

bwahahahaha.....I knew you would chime in eventually

I got the lasy issue in and saw someone doing a wheelie on a stretched bike, didn't know who it was, and still didn't give a damn. Wasn't about the wheelies, was ALL about the bikes! I thought there might have been a new issue with Dan Jackson or Josh Clem on the cover, guess I was being too optimistic!

Re: Got my subscription renewal for SSB in the mail.......

now here's the dumb thing, NOT TRYING TO GET FLAMED ON THIS ONE, but.... why title a magazine 'super street bike' and do mainly bike show event coverage and show built bikes. back when it had more stunt shots and coverage sure it may not have been a yuppie top seller but it was real. real people on real budgets doing real shat, sure they could benefit from selling more ad space, but... why not sell 2 more pages of bike shop ads, less knock off viagra ads, a few pages of show bikes, 2 pages of readers rides, a bi or tri monthly submit to win drawing, a few break downs of stunt bikes here, n over seas, a page that has the upcoming event calender for the current + 2 months in advance, 5 pages race coverage if available 2 articles of show only bikes, that way you have a happy median of, street, stunt, race and ad space.

even if Bullo is riding a sitdown on there, STILL doesn't take away from what the rest of the magazine has become.

GARBAGE

And it pisses me off that my subscription money went to fund the 99 percent stretched bike magazine. When I payed my money it was a stunt magazine with some stretched bike coverage. As far as I'm concerned they pulled a bait and switch. So many people on here subscribed because of the stunt coverage and they took the money and ran like greedy mother *******.

You bash on him for doing he's job then expect him to take it Light Hearted.
Start a thread like this and Expect what Kind of reply????
**** That.
It's a good mag. So is/was Two Wheel Tuner. Home and Garden has houses and gardens in it. You bashing on SSB makes about as much sense if you flamed on Home and Garden for not having stunters in it.

How in the **** is the guy (Dave) going to take it lite hearted when it's what he does for he's JOB? Ya might want to put yourselves in check and consider the pull an Editor of a MAJOR WORLDWIDE Mag may have.

It's your responsibility as "Stunters" to bring the sport to a level that will support it's own Mag. Then you act like kids when it doesn't go your way.
I guess with this kind of behavior I wouldn't expect any more results then you are getting now.

Don't buy the fucken mag!
Buy it throw it away!
But don't flame or hate on someone that's doing there job and not expect to be called on it.

Fucken Drop the Damn SSB thing already!!!

Re: Got my subscription renewal for SSB in the mail.......

i take it that you enjoy a lot of chrome and favor the marble paint, neon lights topped off with tv screens??

well, if he works at the company he can submit an idea that he'd got a number of suggestions for a bit more stunt coverage, it may mean less per magazine says yes.... but i'm willing to bet it'll mean more direct subscription revenue. real people want real things, real things are what they can do and what they can afford and a taste of what they can dream of

Re: Got my subscription renewal for SSB in the mail.......

I'm not sure that the humor in this post was picked up by everyone! It was a JOKE! Almost a cyberspace/ stunter political cartoon, expressing alot of stunters frustration with a mag that we built and payed for in one form, that is now a totally different entity. I noticed the change immediately, subtle at first when the old editor was leaving, and huge after dude took over...

Imagine someone better looking and more influential came around and stole your girl and then moved their lame **** into the house that you built type deal. Nothing personal against dave, he has a job to do. I think it's more about like break the rules a lil more or something man, and listen to the people who built the damn house your livin in, instead of a personal attack!

Obviously it was good enough back in the day, to get the numbers where they needed to be to grow into whatever money maker it now is. And if you ask me, stunting has gotten so much better since then too, but no one will ever know, if this is all the coverage we get.

Now that they have all those numbers, why not pay it back... take an online poll or something on the mag's web-site about how many subscribers would like to see more stunting coverage. Make sure to advertise the poll in the mag in that section where you ask whether kickstand burnouts are done by dicks or not.....

Yea your'e right, **** the SSB threads. Let's start promoting STUNTRIDE mag. I'll buy my subscription from Thomas as soon as they are available!
Oh ****, what about other dude's "pull" though!
hahahahhahahahahahahahahaha!
