1000RR HB Master?

Anyone using, used of CBR1000RR master cylinder for a hand brake? Or know somone who has? I just bought a 1000RR master cylinder to use for a hand brake and was just wondering what you guys thought of it if you have used it?

I tried searching but the search is still fucked up.

Yes of course. I learned rear brake controll on my 50. The reason I want a handbrake is because I want to start trying rear peg standups & seat standers. I have good rear brake controll and it feels sketchy when my foot is not covering the rear brake. I wouldn't be getting a hand brake if I didn't have the foot brake down.

Works excellent...just have to make sure the lever is lubed well and it is installed properly...

I love mine! I sold my brembo for it!

Re: 1000RR HB Master?

Also the master has a shorty lever on it. I know some people leave the longer lever on for leverage. Would you guys recomend keeping the shorty or getting a normal lever?

full lever is best. but with stock clip-ons you almost have to run a shorty

Re: 1000RR HB Master?

he speaks the truth. even though i dont use a HB u need leverage at the ball of the lever to get it off the tail/bar most the time.

Every pic I've seen of a handbrake the clutch is always on top. use your index finger for the clutch like normal and your middle covvering your handbrake.

I was looking at Chris Fishes bike and he had a 16x18 for his front brakes and a 1000rr for the handbrake. he said he put the 16x18 on the front because he said it had to much power for the handbrake and was ****** him up.
