Re: Gsxr 600 question on idle

i took out my tip sensor cause it would stall sometimes on 12. and you dont have to turn the key off and on everytime you lay it down. i run pick ups, idle screw sprockets.. the whole 9.. and my bikes always run 100%

here is the suzuki design for the 05 600, it goes almost to the front to get oil and the stuntex angles it so it takes it from the back of the pan. i took the oil pan off and thought wtf is that ****. definitley get a pick up

Re: Gsxr 600 question on idle

I think they are all probably good bikes if you take your time to set them up right and pay attention to detail, but then again I'm only talking from experience with my 06. Cover all your bases before you go out and mess it up even just a little bit, and it should be just as good as any other...

For instance.....I check everything for tight religiously!!

And I had 1/8" of play on my subby to frame bolts..... visibly loose big time!! I tightened them up and then I stinkin crammed the roundbar into the tarmac hard lastnight(first time!) and it didn't mess anything up! Whew!
And all I did was rivet some treadplate to the passengar trunk sides cuz I haven't had it welded yet?? I hit it kinda crooked too, and no problems, no tweaks, no cracks no nuthin! :YEAH I was previously very nervous about even touchin the bar cause of so many negative threads and comments about Gixxers.

IMO, If I hadn't done that one cheap simple mod with rivets, I guarantee I'd be posting up a thread like "I need a subframe for an 06 600" or whatever.... And that's the bike's fault how????

Just gotta take your time and set it up right is all.

Can I get pics of that? The only thing I have trouble with so far is the hard start occasionally and when it hard starts it doesn't run right for the first couple of minutes.

Re: Gsxr 600 question on idle

Theres a solution to every problem every bike has..... most are just to lazy to deal with it...... if gixxers have subframe problems... well there are TONS of options to reinforce them.. and then POW! problem fixed.. F4is have garbage forks.. so people change them.. POW! fixed. so IMO gixxers are great bikes to stunt. .. and jst like the other dude said .. you just gotta take them time and DO IT RIGHT!

You need to let it run through it's diagnostics before you start it. Pull in the clutch and turn on the key and wait like 12 seconds just to be sure... ya know, till all the noises stop....

then you should never have a hard start. That's common with the 06's havin that issue when you start it immediately after turnin the key on or take off quickly without proper warm up. Stupid set valve stuff, and then the computer checks like air temp, fuel temp, water temp, what color socks you have on.... all that good stuff before it's "ready"...

and pics of what?

I did notice the last time it happened I hit the starter button as soon as I turned the key on. I'll try that to wait a while.

The pics I wanted was of your treadplate reinforcement on the trunk sides. You use steel or alum?

Thats fuggin sweet dude. Your subframe is way different than mine. I never realized there was such a difference from 05 to 06. I never got a chance to see em up close until now tho. Thanks for the link.
