i been riding my 05 636 for about 2-3 weeks now and love it for some things and hate it for others! mostly the gas tank is my #1 complaint so i found a super minty black 04 zx636 to trade my 05 for and i wanna know of the following parts which can be put on the 2004 zx636

*FI cage-are the frames similar?
*ho-hey dual caliper set up
*round bar
*swing arm sliders that go through the rear axle

I believe only the hohey bracket and swingarm sliders will fit.

I know the cage wont

 

so the kid will get a nice new fi cage, but i can use my axle sliders and ho hey set up for sure?...im cool with that:YEAH

round bar won't fit either i don't think....unless you do some fabwork

 

oh one last thing will the rear rotor and sprocket off an 05-06 model fit on a 03-04 model 636 wheel?

yep..... and 05/06 rear rotor are better than 03/04 rear rotor

 

The Cage and the round bar will not. but the rotor sprocket and ho hey will fit right up. and yes that wave rotor is nice!

 

Sorry but your wrong the caliper bracket will not fit, the rotor bolts right on but the caliper brackets are differnt..

I have both 03/04 and 05/06 brackets here and the slot that slides into the tab on the swingarms are in a differnt loctaion, and they do not fit....

 

Also the 05/06 rear axle is a little shorter then the 03/04 so your sliders will fit but you might have to get a longer threaded rod if its cut to the exact length to fit your 05....Sprockets and rotors share the exact same mountin so they bolt right up..

 

The forks fit. I know that cause I've heard of people switching over the 05/06 to the 03/04 cause there worried about that fork leg snapping thing.
