Ok so I'm just about to strart stunting I need to know what the basic setup/mods for a stunt bike are? Bike will prolly be a Suzuki GSX-R 600.

the only things you need to worry about buying right now are
1: stuntex oil pickup
2: cage

every thing else will come in time after some good seat time

 

Would a ZX6R be a better bike? What's wrong with the GSXR?

 

Around here, the GSXR is said to have a very weak subframe. Probably not a problem if you're just starting to stunt, unless you loop it (which you will at one point), you could easily **** up your subframe.

You'd either have to reinforce it or better yet Sell that bike and pick up an f4i or 636...

Ok then, I understand, I work for a motorcycle dealership and we have pretty much all the brands so i get cheap deals on parts etc and bikes. I am either gonna get teh Honda F4i or the ZX6R. Depends on what comes in.

first things, read the forum rules, use the search.
there were a few threads just this week. Just browse through all the forums on here and read stuff, you'll find everything there is to know about stuntbikes by just looking.

that being said: smart things for bikes: cage, sprocket (if you want). definately a cage. other than that it's all optional. sprockets help out a little if you are doing parking lot stuff but they arne't needed to learn.

on your gixxer, i would definately get a stuntex oil pickup to make it last. www.stuntex.com

there ya go, don't ask about handbrakes or i'll kill you. you don't need that junk until you can ride the bike first.

just get a honda, aight. it can take a major beating and u dont have to change the oil pickup. plus there are parts everywhere for this thing.

 

i'll sell ya a setup 04 750 for 3500, sub already re-inforced, sprocketed, handbrake, db bars...

 

stunt whatever bike you want. dont listen to these guys. if you want the EASIEST bike to stunt, then go with the f4i. ive stunted a F4i, 636, gsxr6, and a 600rr. theyre all the same if youre just startin out cuz you dont know what bike youll like til you actually stunt them.

you want to FULLY set up your bike for stuntin? heres the list....
1. Cage
2. 12 bar or round bar
3. custom upper stay (i recommend racing 905's)
4. new chain and sprocket (most people go at least 10 up in the back)
5. MSR easy pull clutch
6. new stabilizer (i like GPR)
7. Handbrake kit
8. dent in tank
9. oil pick-up
10. dis-engage tip over sensor
11. put in idle screw (dependin on bike you chose)

here are other optional parts....
12. Subframe cage (hit up Old Man Roger on here)
13. after-market clip-ons or turn stock ones out
14. strip off stock plastics and sell them on ebay (use money to buy after-market set)
15. re-do forks (stiffer springs)

thats all i can think of right now. hope that helps. oh and the last thing is, PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE!!!!!

 

Just get a cage.... and learn on stock gearing first!!!!

i have an f4i stunted out with lots of battle scars that i put on there myself. why would i want a gixxer?

 

LOL, ur gonna make that noob spend a fortune on **** he doesnt even need yet. pretty thorough list of stunt parts though.
