Great day yesterday!!!

havent been able to practice for a while due to my bike throughing a code for Fuel Injection issues....idk how but i got it fixed yesterday, something with the map sensor.

Either way it ws ****** amazing to get back out there havent been able to really ride at all for a lil over a week now!!!!

Rocked 3rd on the highway and almost got 4th up with almost stock gearing!! which is good for me hahahaha, and then once i got to the lot everyone was buggin me to just start practicing SS without the handbrake so i started playing around with it and actually rocked a couple half *** Flamingos to.....I only got to BP maybe a handfull of times but still I was pretty proud of myself and **** it felt good to get out and practice....just one of those nites where you dont even wanna go home :YEAH :YEAH :YEAH :YEAH :YEAH :YEAH :YEAH :YEAH :YEAH

Re: Great day yesterday!!!

Seat standers are great even without a handbrake cause if you do dip too far back you can just put a foot down and hop back up. And through this way, you can learn the bike a lot better (for example how much engine brake will save you) but still stay safe by having that ability to put a foot down.

Re: Great day yesterday!!!

Yeah it is a great way. I'm just saying that with SS if you slip up, you won't fall on your back, and instead just stand down on your feet. And you can hold the bike so it doesn't fall. I don't know, it was kinda like intuition to do that

But they feel pretty awesome and look cool too so get em good!

Just my

Re: Great day yesterday!!!

Oh, now I getcha.

Yeah next time try just popping it WAY back, almost so you make sure that the bike will flip. You'll be going REAL slow. If you do loop, then put a foot down and steady the bike. If not then work with what ya got!

Re: Great day yesterday!!!

oooooor...you could just go a little faster, and work on throttle control and keep the cheating (putting foot down) out of your bag of tricks.

Re: Great day yesterday!!!

I figure if you put the foot down, then you've felt the entire bike all the way back to behind Bp, so you know what works and how much you can get away with behind bp and how much engine brake will save you later when you're NOT putting your foot down.

Re: Great day yesterday!!!

Putting your foot down is a bad habit to get into. The majority of people that go slow in ss and behind bp in ss with no hand brake, have huge gearing and clutch out of going to the bar. Putting your foot down isn't going to teach you anything. You need to use throttle control to maintain the wheelie and gradually learn to dip further and further into engine brake. If you go too far back, pull in the clutch and let the rpms drop and pop the clutch again and you will lunge forward.
