Damn Clutches

So all the guys have been talking about how hard my clutch lever is to pull in.....REDICUlOUS hard.....found out my clutches were burn up when i went on a street ride, and was near impossible to get it up in 3rd with a 60 rear and -1 front. The burnt clutches were causing a hard pull for the push rod....But 1st gear has no slip or effect...so i'm glad it's just another way to keep me in the lot practicing and off the street

by the way these were Barnett clutches and i bought them only in march. PISSES ME OFF

Re: Damn Clutches

My friend Matt had a 929 motor that he redid the clutch and actually took out whatever was in there at first (it was a race clutch) and replaced it with a stock clutch. That motor went through 4 different bikes and he NEVER had to replace the clutch... in fact the motor ended up blowing up before the clutch even showed any signs of needing repaired.
