Cutting Exhaust Pipe Tips

So I was wondering how I would go about cutting and shortining my exhaust pipe. I ride a cbr 929 and my friend rides a cbr f4i. Both our pipes come really close to hitting when we wheelie and I fear the higher we get that they will hit eventually. His pipe is stock and my is a Two Brothers Racing. How do I go about doing this on his? And is it possible with mine? I got a different one then in my pic, same pipe but metal, not carbon fiber. Thanks.

This is what I did with my stock can on my 929.
Take the can off. Drill the rivits out that are holding the end cap on. Pull the end cap off. Hack saw your can to desired length. Use a grinder or anything that can cut through the steel to get through the center part of the can, "You'll know what I'm talkin about when you get to it". Drill holes for new rivits in can. Stuff the foam back into can. Rivit end cap back on . Bolt can back up.
Don't know if this made any sence to you but it did to me. haha

Re: Cutting Exhaust Pipe Tips

Thanks guys, that is what I was thinking. Mine is rivited and the f4i is not, but my uncle is a welder so I got that part covered. And I was down to scrap the pipe but last time that happened I ended up with a broken tail bone. hahaha

Re: Cutting Exhaust Pipe Tips

you dont need a welder to do the stock f4i pipe. Mine is proof of that.

Cool Cool Cool. Check it out guys, I did my Two Brothers Pipe today. Cut it hella short and it looks pretty clean. Here are the before and after pics. I get the bike back in 2 days (in shop for tires, brakes, and a few other things) then it will be on bike. Also Im gunna put the Two Brothers logo back on just wanna wait till the pipe is on the bike. The f4i im doin some time later this week. Let me know what you think. I took off 7''.
