Growing Trend......?
Re: Growing Trend......?
talk all the **** you want but the one i got on mine has paid for itself over and over again...... at shows the motha ***** draws more ppl up to me to look at my helmet .....the kids love it.,...so if kane can sell PINK i can sell a MOHAWK....lol
Re: Growing Trend......?
on second thought. pink teddy bears on a bike would prob be sweet cuz ive never seen it really. so that is really what i think makes the mohawk thing gay. the fact that it is totally unoriginal, its like hey look at me im different, but youre really the same as everyone else that wants attention any way they can grab it. reminds me of like the whole hippie/grunge thing. hippie style ,which is a contradiction in its self, started with just wearing whatever u want and not trying to be cool or fit in with any sort of trends. then those same ppl turned it into a trend and made basicly a uniform for hippies. corduroys, tie dye, flip flop...etc. and the grunge did the same, like ohhh dude that flannel is sweet whered u get it so i can go get one. originality quickly turns into cliche's and sometimes ppl just dont know when its not cool anymore. stop fighting it, colored mohawks on your helmet isnt cool, it doesnt take much to impress a kid. but i guess some ppl will sacrifice all and everything to try to be marketable. the definition of sellout, which dont think im talking **** cuz if thats what u want thats what u want. id rather just be me and not have whats on my helmet or bike influenced by how much money i can make from it.

you could zip tie pink teddy bears all over your bike and it would draw a shitload of attention too. the idea is, what do you sacrifice in order to gain attention....?

Not my kind of thing, but I think they are funny. They were more popular in the UK more a couple / 3 years back.
It's good not to take yourself too seriously and and (I'm assuming?) most of them stick breast enlarger suction cup things* on for a laugh. You must have a sweet life if this counts as a 'problem'

(*not that I know much about them, honest)

Maybe some people should concentrate on their own riding and style rather than everyone else's and then they themselves will be more marketable... just my

So just because you don't think it's cool, he's a sellout? If he can rock it and make it look good, then good on him, but one thing you are forgetting, the money is coming from those people and not you, just because he's adapting to make himself more marketable, doesn't make him a sellout, he likes it, so he rocks it..... and it works for him

Re: Growing Trend......?
being a sellout has nothing to do with my personal opinion on whats cool. and when someone adapts themselves in a way they wouldnt ordinarily just to make themselves more marketable YES that is the definition of a sellout. i dont want to be marketable, i dont ride for money. im the guy that would ride no matter who likes it or doesnt. i dont ride for little kids or to try to be famous. i ride cuz its the most fun ive ever had and i dont like to turn fun into work. then u start wearing a uniform of some sort, whatever your catchy look happens to be. competition stunters and regular riders will prob never see eye to eye.
He bought the mohawk at a shop we were doing a show at cause he thought it was cool/neat/different or whatever, he said this is sweet, not hey, i can make myself money off of this
.... We ride to have fun to, no matter what/where we are, we have fun, we enjoy doing shows and enjoy getting paid to have fun and entertain people, we're not balling, but we do alright ...I stick mainly to show riding, and eric choses both, cuz he enjoys both, why do you think everyone else is getting so good, they new this kid was dipping into the competiton side...
, and you will soon see
