12 Bar..cops...??

I was just pulled over for my 12 bar blocking the view of my tail light. They let me go, but followed me straight to my house and told me to fix it or I get a ticket next time.

I have a SI 12 bar on my 929. I was wondering, since it has such a slant on the platform of the bar could I just slide the bar farther back and then raise it up? I know I have to cut more on the tail, but thats cheaper then more tickets. I already unbolted it and moved it around, it looks like it should work fine. If I do move my bar back and up(which puts my bar a little higher then my rear seat, will this affect my subframe at all while at 12?

Re: 12 Bar..cops...??

I should have, but apparently I'm a jew and wanted to do this the hard way...lol

The is off already so I thought wtf might as well see if I can just relocate it a bit. I just clamped it in and set at 12 holds and seems to work...I will try it like this I guess since its already there. It looks kind of odd though. If you laid a straight edge on top of the rear seat it would be in about the middle of the platform on the bar. A little different, but I can get my foot in there alot better now too..lol

Re: 12 Bar..cops...??

Yea, I wanted to get a round bar anyway. I didn't ask them to follow me home, they told me that is what was going. I'm just starting to learn 12ing now. So I have to get that down before I go farther.
