You can go as far as to find out what city he's in, perhaps a particular suburb, but that's about it with the IP. A judge will have to issue a warrant for the information from the ISP, they will NOT give that information up without it. Internet postings are kind of a grey areas anyways, since you can't really prove so and so was online at the time the posts were made, if they were even made by captain littledick.
