02 zx-6 stunter

A friend of mine found a decent deal on a 02 zx-6, already has a cage and 12 bar, but no fairings. I've seen that everyone is stunting 03-04's, so i told him i don't really know too much about the 02. Is there a HUGE disadvantage to the 2002? I know parts might not be quit as available but what else is good or bad about this year? Thanks for any info.

This bike is alright, but the bike dies at 12, the carbs get flooded out. This is the only real problem i have had with mine.

Re: 02 zx-6 stunter

PHUK, he's not gonna be happy about the dieing at 12 oclock thing, i'm gonna tell him to man up and save some more $ and find a 03-04, or, he found a 02 F4izzle, streetfightred, clean title, guy is askin 4200 (which i told him was WAY to high), whats a decent price for a naked clean F4i?

Re: 02 zx-6 stunter

good luck, practice. yea my boy can already roll BP wheelies for a little bit so the dieing at 12 will be a bigger issue for him then it will for you. anybody know a fair value of the F4i i mentioned earlier?

decent price...
I wouldnt pay more than $2500 maybe 3000 if it was mint but then why would it be mint with no fairings. But you can find a F4i naked from $1500 and up.

it was battered when i got it, some kid bought it and wrecked it out with 4k on the odo, so his old man put it in storage.

I got everything cleaned up on it, but the ************ won't get spark. CDI or pickup, i'm hopin it's not cdi since those aren't cheap.

my roommates makin me the cage, and i wont need a 12 bar for quite some time.

I've got some headlights and ram air tubes for a 00-02, if anyone needs them.

people change their minds when you got cash in their face... tell him you wanna look the bike over yourself... then tell him you have 3000 cash in ur pocket, take it or leave it... if he says no, **** em... wait around for another one to turn up... its summer time, riding season = wrecking season = people selling bikes with rashed/cracked fairings... which is what you need anyways...

he can go to hell with that price.
For $4k it has to have complete mint to clean fairings!
If its been already stunted Id say $2500 is the highest Id go. Cash talks, he shows this fool $1700-2500 cash, its done. Even cheaper in the Fall-winter.

Re: 02 zx-6 stunter

Prices for F4i are ridiculous most of the time. It's tough to find a decent shape F4i for under $4,500-$4,000 nowadays, even with higher mileages.
