loose 16x18 lever

My lever is loose on my brembo 16x18. I think it poped out of the piston or something? I didnt have time to take the rubber seal off. I couldnt figured it out. It still works and has the same pressure. but went i let off, it just kinda just falls away. Im trying to explain it the best I can- If you can make out what Im trying to explain. Help me out. Tell me how to fix it.

Re: loose 16x18 lever

I seem to remember on my old r1 radial there was a little spring near where the lever touched the piston that made it not fall loose.. sort of sounds like what you're talking about.

Most likely just a deformed lever (they get deformed from crashing and then they bind on the pivot) or a bent push rod, you cant buy internals so theres no point in opening it...Dissasemble it(push rod/lever asssembly) and check that the pivot doesnt bind in the lever bore, remove push rod and top hat and check if the rod is bent...If the rod is bent buy the crash repair kit and replace it....When you reassemble it with or without new parts make sure to lube everything well...
