R1 radial master

SO what's up with these masters?I know brembo makes them. I know they are 16mm like the brembo and I read somewhere( I forget) that the are 16 x 18 too. From the way I understand it the 18 measurement is the distance from the center of the pivot pin to the contanct point on the push rod. Supposedly the shorter this distance the more feel.
The 16 is the bore size I got that. The smaller the bore the less effort it takes to lock it down.

Has anybody switched from a stock r1 master to the brembo 16x18?

What is the difference besides the cylinder being at an angle compared to the brembo being straight if any?

Every where I read about the r1 master being used for the front brakes people say how great the feel is and how effortless it is to brake.

Sounds like the same things I hear about the brembo for handbrakes

Re: R1 radial master

im pretty sure the R1 and the R6 are 16x20

measure the distance from the pivot just like you said to determine the 2nd number. And the master should have a 16 stamped into it stating 16mm bore.

I had an R6 masster on mine, it was alright but felt like it needed to be a little more grabby, which that extra 2mm of leverage would take care of...
