1000 has more power obviously. 929 has better brakes. BOth fuel injected. Just get whichever you can find cheapest and start practicing. You can do anything on any bike with enough practice.

i'd get a gixxer 750 over the 1000. i rode my friend's 1000 and i hated it. it has power, but that's it, it's a heavy beast though.

the 750 is nice, but i cna't stoppie on them, i can wheelie like a ****.

i have 2 929's cause they just fit me all around. i still think i'm more planted on wheelies on teh gixxer, but i can do more tricks on a 929 and it feels lighter and more nimble.

i'd say just try them out. oh ya, the oil pickup is on the rear of a honda so you don't have to worry about oil problems with 12's, i think the gixxer is in the middle so i dont know.

Not to sound like a dick, but I hate it when people say that" this bike has better brakes than this one", or" I cant stoppie this bike." I have rode R1's , 900rr;s, ZX7r's , and gixxers, and yes they all stoppie different, and it takes a second to get the feeling down, but ive never thought one was easier than the other, just maybe liked the feeling better on one. WHen you say, "better" brakes, for stuntin who cares if that bike has a .0001% stopping power better, save that crap for racers. Like they said, whatever you like better and can get for cheaper, get it, you get used to whatever you ride.

RR

I bought a 01929Erion, this afternoon. I have ridden both bikes, I don't know wich is "better" but the bike I got only has 3400 miles and I know it should take a good beat'n get'n stunted. I think the honda's have smoother throtle, less gerky.

Yep - my boy rich nuked the crank bearings in his 00 929 with only 700 miles on it. He was reving it while coasting & when he came down thing was nocking like hell.

IF YOU WANNA WHEELIE=GSXR
IF YOU WANNA STOPPIE=929
IF YOU WANNA DO BOTH=BUY BOTH

I CAME OFF A HONDA DOING SWEET/LONG STOPPIES, HAVING TROUBLE ON MY 2000 750

ALSO CAME OFF THE HONDA DOING CRAPPY/SHORT WHEELIES, NOT HAVING ANY PROBLEMS BUSTING OUT A MILE OR SO STAND-UP ON MY 750
