Here let me help you learn....... I do believe that says 100hp not the 60-70 you all say. I have done my homework.... You know I don't claim to have the fastest bike.....I have built my bike with my hands and done it in my garage......It is easy for me to go buy a new bike and put a few things on it and it woop everything, but where is the fun in that. I made my bike. I built this for the same reason you guys talk ****, Its funny when people talk till we race, Do you know the look on their face when they relize they got owned by a 93 600, Priceless. even better when they hand over cash................. i do get beat but not by much....... I have enough money to buy a busa or a ZX14, CASH....Thats to easy. When you spend years building a bike come talk to me. 125hp LOL. It is easy for you to sit back and talk on here. If you know so much, Do you know that gearing has a lot to do with it. 1/4 mile is the goal not more than that. In the long distance yes you got me, But 1/4.

UM NO,I DONT KNOW A THING ABOUT GEARING,IM JUST A DUMB STUNT RIDE THAT PUT A BIG SPROCKET ON MY 636 BECAUSE THATS WHAT EVERYBODY ELSE HAD ,YEA RIGHT ,GET A GRIP
DONT GET MAD BECAUSE EVERYONE LAUGHED YOUR *** OFF OF A DRAG RACEING SITE,HATE TO BREAK IT TO YA BUT IT FIXIN TO HAPPEN HERE AS WELL

I cant understand why ....after you've already done so much ...and seem to enjoy and be very proud of your accomplishment.... that you dont just have one custom made for like 200 bucks or less....... Buy a stock swingarm off ebay for $25 and have a welder fab it up 4 or 6 inches longer. Keep this simple man
Oh also....just cause you mod an old dinosaur doesn't mean it's going to be funner than just buying something New and "ready to go" Imagine if you put all your time and effort in a bike that was fast to start off with.... (I could throw a Blower on my tractor and it really wouldn't be any more fun around the farm....I'd still rather have a Pimped out Rhino )

and lastly.... how fast you gettin that 100HP sleeper through the Quarter ? and what do you think the swingarm will give you ?

Re: Swing arm

I have been talking to people about having one made and they told me that they have done that to theirs and the problems seems to be that the way you would have to cut and weld it, it would probably break where its welded. To tell you the truth, I just became a new dad and don't want to take the chance of the swingarm breaking, I can't find anyone around here that would take the risk of welding it for me, If they don't trust themselves to weld it do you trust it to hold? I don't trust anyone that is not for sure of their work. I am just hoping it will help keep that bike down more than it is now. To tell you the truth, never had it to a track, all I have ever done is street race. I don't care about time, just having fun. Its not a challange if you know your going to win. Here we can't do anything without the cops being envolved and running it for everyone, So I built a house on a 1 mile flat straight road and everyone comes out a races, stunts and just hangs out. Everyone can race and talk ****, its all just for fun and something to do................

Re: Swing arm

if welded correctly, a weld is stronger than it would be without one.

I know but they are afraid if it breaks I would sue them. I agree with you but I have been to alot of welding shops and no one will do it.

Its just steel, you could buy a sub $200 welder and do it yourself. maybe even weld some reinforcement on there too.

Re: Swing arm

I know but I am not a welder and for me to rush it and not do it right is not worth me getting hurt..... I now have a daughter to take care of. I love doing it and not willing to give it up, just want to be as safe as I can. LOL. I know bikes a safety don't mix but it's what I love.
