Attention all of you female super stunters out there!! The coordinators at Stuntwars have been kicking around the idea of adding some new events to our next competition. A complete list is yet to be announced, although I will tell you that there will officially be a place for the women to finally showcase their talents in the upcoming events, in a ladies Individual Freestyle category, IF we can see a demand for the category. I need to know who would be interested in competing in either Stuntoberfest or the 08 Stuntwars.

Whos gonna step up and show these boys what we are all about???

That would be the purpose of posting this thread, to get an idea of who would actually show up to compete. Since it will be the first of its kind..... We just don't know at this point. We need more feedback to make a decision.

 

Like a "longest wheelie event".

 

I think having a girls catergory would not only encourage more women to compete but also make it less intimidating for them also. Either way you should do it and then from having that womens event at stuntoberfest all the people will see it and taht will spread the word that much faster.

I think if a girl wants to compete they should compete in the standard event. This isn't a gender specific sport. We've got 13 year old kids doing every trick in the book. If a 25 year old girl can't do the same tricks as a 13 year old kid then they need to practice more and/or try harder. Has nothing to do with anything else.

Im all about seeing more people come out and compete, but I Must agree with the other people who said it should be one event. I think male/female stunters as a WHOLE should push the sport as a WHOLE. Were not big enough of a sport to go breaking it up by gender IMO. Hell, look at the NBA/WNBA. As huge as Basketball is in american history, they can barely get enough people to go watch a WNBA game to keep the sport in existance! But how many people would tune in to watch female basketball players playin a NBA game???!!! Thank about it.

 

this is a very good point......if they want to compete in the sport thats fine with me.....i like it when a girl comes out to the spot and can do all the same tricks i can do and then some...def fun to watch

Yeah why the special category?? There are 2-3 girls that actually put the time and effort in to improving, the rest just pretend.....Nags hit the nail on the head.....

Here's some food for thought, Jessica Zalusky is racing against the boys in the AMA. So the genders aren't always divided.

I can see the benefit to dividing the genders in frestyle though. Like someone else said, it might make it less intimidating for the girls, Plus it might eliminate the fear that some competitors will get extra points for having a vagina.
