Re: yamahas

yamaha r6's have weak frames/subframes thats why alot of people don't stunt them.

Re: yamahas

I've been through 3 subframes in the past year, which is why im currently looking for a Honda to stunt and use my R6 strictly for the street. All in all the R6 is good for wheelies, bad for dropping.

Re: yamahas

Only went through 1 subframe in 5 yrs of stunting on my 01 and the one i replace wasnt that bad...just a couple of cracks on the bracing that goes across. I gorilla scraped quite a few times on it too. Its the 03 and up subframes that are week. Make u a subframe or just dont scrape and your good to go.

Re: yamahas

I have an 02' R6 I was getting ready to stunt. Reading this thread is giving me second thoughts. Is using an R6 for a stunt bike a bad idea?
