Point of a subframe cage??
Re: Point of a subframe cage??
the subframe cage does so many things ...heres just a few
1 it will hit the ground and not brake ,unlike a stock peg bracket
2 it will not bend the tabs on the subframe when it hit's the ground, unlike a stock bracket
3 it wont let your peg aim down like a bent stock bracket
4 it makes the pegs solid and it won't flex ,unlike a stock bracket
5 it actually stiffens the subframe because it ties both sides together like a steel brace would
# 6 only applies to my subcage[-omr-] the pegs are rotated on there axis so they don't fold up during a whellie and this also puts your foot on the grippy part of the peg during a wheelie
#7 also only applies to my cage[-omr-] the 600 rr and the r6 pegs are moved down and out for a better peg location[any one that has ridden either bike knows thay need it]
and did i mention my cages allow the pegs to fold up,only way to go in my oppinion
i could go on but #1 was a good enough reason to have a subframe cage.............................................

Re: Point of a subframe cage??
oh and when your pegs don't flex riding in the wet isn't so scary any more ..thanks to the sure footed feel you get from a subcage....

Re: Point of a subframe cage??
oh yea and omr subcages are the first subcage to have folding pegs ....
i wanted them to fold up for stoppies so if i flipped the peg wouldn't stab me in the back ,but there are alot of tricks were the pegs being down are a problem.....
and cages that don't have folding pegs are more likely to damage your subframe do to the leverage of the long bmx style pegs and they are also more likely to bend the actuall cage for the same reason
stock pegs are more likely to fold up in a wreck
