i thought there was some magic to shutting the bike off....so i went out and tried both regular and off-pegs and it was the same damned thing. only difference is when you get to the end the bike lands a little harder, but not enough to even hurt my wrists. just don't let the FN clutch out and it comes down just the same.

Mike ya know ur my boy but seriously, that's no excuse, straighten out your front end and stop dropping O's hard... or straighten out the front end before the stoppie comp... its not fair to those who can only ride one bike... this is a RIDER's Comp, not a who's a baller with the most bikes comp...

oh and jsut cause unlimite is not your cup of tea doesnt mean we should change it... im cool with either, limited or ***** out... cause i practice BOTH... get on it or get left behind brutha! lemme know if you want to come up my way for some stoppie practice.

Binder, cause it's not the end of the coaster we're worried about... its if you make a tiny mistake at 60mph, its MUCH safer to wheelie out of said mistake than to slam down at that speed or even worse, mousetrap at that speed... a good rider can save his *** by wheelieing out!

60 mph??

off peg coaster is gonna be more like top of 2nd or 3rd and doing like 80...either way, it would be hairy.

Ok tough guy, 80mph... i just tossed up a randon fast number, at least faster than i want to mousetrap! LOL and yes i agree, its going to be hairy, but Teach honestly, would you WANT it any other way?!?!

Yeah, Kev and Scott, you agree with this so far? ONE BIKE?(!!!) and unlim.approach or limited for coaster and stoppie???

ya, i understand that...but i've made mistakes and just held the clutch in and let it come down...it comes down hard, but it's never come down hard enough to even hurt my wrists so i would assume that isn't very hard....maybe some poeple are doing some jacked up stuff. it starts to fall forward, get off the brake and keep the clutch in. mine doesn't seem to come down that hard like that. i don't choose to do it that way if i dont' have to, but if i'm rev limiter or bike off, it doesn't bother me that much.

I hear ya but reg. coasters coming down at 60-80mph (happy teach?) are much easier to control than SS coming down at that speed...

Re: Starboyz Stunt Fest 2007

the diff betwn doing them in the lot and at a comp is that you are trying keep as much speed as possible with the run up distance...so you YACK it back into the coaster...hell its a bit scary at the top of 3rd sitting down..w.hen you flip it back fast and hard...

starboyz...wehre you at!

Re: Starboyz Stunt Fest 2007

so i heard that they are gonna have an amateur coaster and stoppie comp with an unlimited approach...can anyone give me an idea on how far you need to be rolling in both to place? This is the first event that I've thought about competing in. thanks

Basically you are going to be up the people who know they aren't good enough to spend the $ to go up against the pros. I would say at least 600 feet for the coaster and 400 feet in stoppie to have a shot at winning. But the prize is probably just a free tire or something so it's more about getting out there and trying. I would strongly reccomned not entering if you can't roll at least 200' coasters or 100' stoppies under pressure of a few hundered people watching. You will probably get laughed off the track if you roll 10' and slam down the front end or come out with some pop-a-stoppies.

it dont got nothing to do with baller status. i set a bike up for stoppies and thats all its gona do. i was not makeing excuses. should you really toy around with stoppies on a pos tweeked front end. i only planed on doing the stoppie comp so i guess i will be using my zx10. trust me im not geting left behind at all i just preferr limited because i think its more challenging. this one bike **** better not become a freakin rule.

Re: Starboyz Stunt Fest 2007

im with the one bike for everything. runing 2 or 3 bikes is an just aint fair to the up and comers who might be goin to there first comp. thats like pro baseball players geting to use corked bats. theys comps should have a 1 bike rule . i dunno i have 4 bikes and would only use one ( still gettin my skills up to par b 4 entering comps) just shows who is the better rider and thats who should take home the cash
