hey just bought an 01 f4i all stunted out. Only thing is its got a 70t sprocket im lookin to put a 60t on it was wondering if i have to buy a smaller chain aswell.

if anyone is looking for a 70t sprocket id be glad to sell it or trade for a 60-62. its steel not aluminum looks real tough.

also i gotta make a few mods to make it street legal was wondering if mirrors are required to be on the bike. its from outa state so i gotta through inspection. sux!

You can just cut a couple links off the chain, and buy another master link.

 

Oh, and as long as it isn't a salvage title, you don't have to go thru inspection, only a vin verification. They just look at the vin number and make sure it is not hand stamped or somethin.

 

If the chain is still good this works. If your old sprockts are worn down though you might want to get a new chain.

 

If the chain is good remove links and run it like said :YEAH

 

ya chain is still good and the sprocket on right now is in great condition. thanx for the input. like i said anyone wanna buy the sprocket or trade let me know.

 

just did it in cali, had the vin inspect n brake n light inspection. normally u gotta have highway patrol do the vin inspect with an appointment
if u get the forms u can have local p.d. do it
bike inspection if u got hook up like i had to use jus lights, when i went to a bike dealership he was upset that my tire was balding n i had no mirrors. you need all lights working, turn signals, horn
