i just bought a 50 and every on in corpus sayes that they get inpounded a lot and since its 49cc you dont need to get it linced acording to the law so whats the deal with ridin on the street

dude, try not ride them on the roads if you can, unless you got a camera and want to **** people off on purpose, we used to ride street on our 50's but we have been hammered by the cops, so we dont anymore, i gotta go to court soon hahahaha

word of advice, DONT ride on the streets , AND dont even move when they try to pull you over , you might go to jail for evading even if your not ... oh me and my friends know

not cool man... we've only had ours impounded once but luckly we know the guys who work at the impound lot so it wasnt a problem getting em out

ya the cops wrecked on our asses thats for sure , corpus cops dont play

case got dismissed cause we didnt run

but the cops wanted to be dicks and made us go through all these hoops with our lawyer to get em out, so finally this weekend i get to go and pick em all up

i registered mine as a moped! the cops pull you over just cause they dont know any better but they cant impound it unless you run or do a wheelie they can give you dte.

 

How did you register it as a moped? What did you have to do? My title says off road veichle so I didn't think it could be registered.
I used to insure mine through progressive. It was really cheap and a no insurance ticket is gonna be one of the most expensive tickets you'll get. I've gotten stopped on my 50 by 3 different cops for road riding and they just told me to put a helmet on and don't ride on the main roads. They were all actually pretty cool.
