I know the price of steel is not cheep at all right now so factor in the cost for that, Then the time it takes someone to actually build a jig so there is some man hours plus the cost of the jig, Then someone has to weld it with a welder, More man hours and the cost of wire/gas/electricity for the welder, Then if it gets painted or powder coated, someone has to do that so again, More man hours and the cost of all the supplies for that. Sh*t adds up fast so all in all, The price of a SI is very attractive. Sure you could build a cage or two cheap yourself but once you add up the man hours and all the supplies and equpment cost just to do it, it gets spendy as hell.

I was a welder for years and I know for them to pay for just the steel for a product might have only $50 in steel but once you pay the employee to weld it, The materials like the welding wire, gas, electricity to run a welder, then we had to paint the product so there was cost of paint and stuff and had to pay someone to paint it so when all was said and done, it went out the door for about $250 or better.

I;ve bought several things from sick innovations and never had any problems.Shipping is sometimes slow but you got to understand they mke these as they go....There just not stocked by the hundreds in a warehouse..My last product i bought from them was a 04 gsxr cage and it took about a week and a half but it was worth wating......GREAT PRODUCT....**** HAPPENS JUST CALL IAN AND HE'LL FIX IT I CALLED A FEW TIMES TO CHECK STAUS AND HE HELPED ME EVERYTIME....THANKS
