Re: King Of The South

I agree....... the place was packed ......hundreds and hundreds of Streetbikers were out with all their tricked out pimped out rides....plenty of stunt action all day long out on the track.....
the parking lot was filled with cars too ....lots of spectators

by the looks of the track (and I've been to alot of dragstrips) this was probably one of their biggest turnouts of the year ....

Diggidy Jason and king murdock...ran a Great Comp ! (plus of course all the other people who were working there too...I just didnt know who they were)

who was killing those long stoppies ? If he would have rolled 20 or 30 feet further....he'd have caught the downhill of the staging area...and could have rode it past concessions and down into the dirt parkinglot !

Great Event fellas :YEAH very Cool

they didnt get all the events done..... didnt do TEAM ($1500 payouts) or SICKES T TRICK ($500) my boys from Vertical Limits drove down just to compete for team.... if anything all the events that paid out should have been done, not all the events that doesnt pay out.

we had a great time though... even though it rained all the way down there, then rained pretty much all day Sat.... getting the 50 gave to me, then taken back, and given 3rd place (i atleast had 2nd IMO and after watching the footage @ home) Bill D getting disqualified from fastest stoppie was some BS also

still though i had a GREAT time... lots of ppl (which make me nervous as hell to ride infront of lol) and alot of good riders... + i got to meet Colton :YEAH and alot of other cool riders

Re: King Of The South

we went last year too and i can say last year was much better! I don't know if i want to go back next year... sure the rain messed up the schedule and that meant all the events had to be done on sunday but they had a few options - 1. don't do some of the events 2. start earlier 3. hurry up thru each event, have 2 going on at the same time... my 2 cents, we had to leave early and darrick wasn't able to compete because of the time restraints and that really sucked... also there was not open riding at the end of the track like last year which i know a lot of people enjoyed... all in all i had a good time but they need to get a little more organized and charge less for competitors i am not sure about everyone else but this was an expensive weekend... $15 gate fee plus $30 for an event this is a lot considering most stunters are broke to begin with, ha ha ha

Re: King Of The South

Had a good time this weekend at KOS, even though I ate the pavement on my last stoppie attempt. But after I secured second, I told myself, I was either gonna beat Mitch's distance or flip trying, and ended up accomplishing one of those.

Thanks for hooking me up afterwards Mike, I slept like a baby the whole 13hrs home:YEAH

Mitch had some really good rolls in practice probably high 600's, but the farthest he hit in the finals was 598 I believe. Farthest I hit in practice was low 600's.
