I also found it easier to position the 16x18 compared to the gsxr radial I had.

Well, I've got a friend that's getting me dealer cost on the brembo, and then I will be getting another 300 this week plus my tips from work.. I can't wait OMR gets a hold of an F4i to make some sub cages. I really don't want to buy a powers.

Re: is the brembo 16x18 worth it

just put my 16x18 on this weekend, bled the crap out of it, seems there's no air in there, but it takes about 4 good pumps before it really engages.

what's the deal, do you think i need to bleed it yet again? i guess i'm too new to know how it's supposed to feel. all i know is that i don't have a solid rear brake at the moment through hand or foot... but the handbrake is way weaker than the foot.. ???

open the rear bleeder and put your finger over the bleeder hole and pump away with the lever adjustment set all the way out so you get a full pump pump till you go through two or three refills in the resivour ....

your finger over the hole will let the air and fluid out but not let the air back in and doing it this way will also not let any air bubbles float back up hill like with the old pump pump open method

trust me this way works

Whats wrong with the OG clear hose on the bleeder nipple? You can see the bubbles come out, wont let air back in, and it doesnt make a mess, thats only way that makes sense to me

of all the race bikes i work on and done brakes on, i moved back to the OG way.....i even have a pressure bleeder, not the junk handpump (actually hooks up to an air compressor). OG way seems to bleed better for me. never had a problem with a spongy brake with my methods.

Ive never bothered buying a vac bleeder, because I never had a problem with the OG way.....And Ive gotten more air bubbles out of a system that was already bled with a vac, so their not as good as people make them out to be.

When I order my Brembos I get the option of a short or regular length lever..... $60 is about the best price your going to find without some hookups....

The vac is nice when your working by yourself. If I got someone around I'll bleed it w/just tube and bottle.

Re: is the brembo 16x18 worth it

I used to have a GSXR radial master paired with a full throttle rear master. I currently run a 16x18 with dual calipers and would never dream of going back to my old setup. It is 10 times easier to bleed a dual caliper setup and when paired with the Brembo master I have great feel and control of the rear brake. I have ridden others bikes with different setups and mine is by far the best setup I have been on. Expensive yes, but effective.
