Has any one put GSXR 1000 forks on a f4i??? I can get a set cheap, but not sure if i can make it work!! Thanks

Don't you have to change out the bearings? They don't just bolt right up do they?

 

grab the forks, axle, front wheel, brakes, triple, lower triple, clip ons on db's, the triple blot and go dumb, the bearings should be alright. most neck bearings are the same as are the mount shafts on the triples

 

i know you can take 929 or 954 triples and slide the whole front end of a 96 to 99 gsxr 750 in them. i also know that if you get 01 gsxr 1k forks, you can use 929 front braking system on them. no mods. they give you better stopping power. im actually gonna do the mod within a week or 2, i will try and get pics up when im done. if you go to svrider.com, there is a bearing mod for a 99 to 02 sv650 to incorporate gsxr front end. that will also work, i just dont know if the stems are the same length. but i do know the bearings are the same for the cbr. so the mod should work.

 

f4i upper baring is smaller than the gsxr's, but lowers i think are the same.
