What makes a bike night good
What makes a bike night good
I am putting together the bike nights for the dealer here in fort wayne. I want to hear ideas on what to... and what not todo...
tell me what made a bike night youve been to fun... and what made it suck...
and any other ideas are helpful. a stunt demo is out of the question because of lack of space.
I am planning the following right now
Radio station remote
free food i.e. burgers, hot dogs, pop, etc...
parts/accesories gift certificate raffle
cash cube...
possibly a local band every once in awhile
those are some of the things im doing.
lmk guys!

Re: What makes a bike night good
Too much po-po inforcement always tends to put a damper on the fun but cannot always be helped. Good music, good food and beer, and a good location are a must.
I think a big part of it is advertising - even if other areas of the bike night are lacking - as long as there are alot of bikes to look at people will attend. If they will let you a little stunt show always keeps peoples attention - especially if you have good riders.
Goodluck man.

Re: What makes a bike night good
+1 to both of those!! Cops suck and they can **** up a bike night quicker than anything.
If this is for sport bikes and stunters, gear it towards them. All of the bike nights we go to our geared for HDs, not knockin it, but not our cup of tea.
1 idea, if you cant stunt, what about a projector screen and stunt vids playin?? Tell people to bring their own and you will play them. just a thought. I would love to go to a bike night have a ton of people there, girls, food, beer, music and see my practice clips on a big screen for everyone to see, laugh and hate on.

Re: What makes a bike night good
i personally dont think its a bad idea to have maybe 1 detail cop on YOUR payroll and you tell him what to turn his head away from and what to look for. at our old bike night that got shut down it was out of control with bad riders always almost gettin hurt, fights... it could benefit to have a cop there, as long as hes a cool cop and is on the same page as you( like lookin the other way if someone does a wheelie on the way out). ya know? im sure im gonna get flamed by some ******* for not sayin FTP n **** but they can become an asset
Re: What makes a bike night good
Bike nights are for old farts....give em some beer and some half nekkid toothless girls with a big rack and the old farts will be there every week.
Bike nights are boring.....same ppl, same bikes, blahhhhhhhhh

Re: What makes a bike night good
its downtown. there isn't a place to stunt. its going on from 5-11.
in the earlier hours we expect more of the bimmer/cruiser crowd, which will use the bike night to meet... get a burger and pop... then go ride...
once it gets about dusk we will change it up a bit and gear it toward the younger sportbike crowd.. also we are thinking of getting involved with a local club to let people that went to the bike night in free of charge.
a projector would be a good idea but expensive. we will have good music...we will have radio remotes there with the bigger channels in our town. i will get ahold of hooters and get some hooters girls out there.
so
boob/girls
good food
good music
good advertising
no cops
=
good bike night.
keep the ideas coming guys... this is the first time ive been in charge of something like this.

Re: What makes a bike night good
also remember to advertise... no chicks will show up if you dont advertise... put it in the papers in the events section and go to your city and states page and put it in their events section with a brief description and what kind of show it will be to draw your wanted crowd style
