Re: f4 or f4i?

I'm not sure but I think the only differences are the injection system, the upper/headlight, and the subframe/seat...

exactly, bogging down, flooding after a drop on the side, flooding on the bar. I fought carbs doing this slow game on my 900 for too long. if there is a choice go for the f4I I love mine:YEAH

i rocked an F4 all last season. i switched out to an F4i subframe and don't rock an upper, so most people think i ride an f4i. the only differences i've noticed riding it is that it will flood, but only if left on the cage for more than a couple seconds. most drops during circles i get it back up before it floods, but if it does, you just hold the throttle wide open for a sec and it'll fire right up. if you can save that much money with the F4, i'd go for it and buy a subframe off of ebay.

Re: f4 or f4i?

there is no substitute for fuel injection, go out and walk the street where the hookers are and sell yourself if you have to, but get the f4i, and that's a helluva deal for that thing. mine's got 30,000 on it when I bought it and I put an APE Racing adjustable cam tensioner in it and it's perfect even with all the miles.

Re: f4 or f4i?

f4i's have a more rigid frame than an f4 and the 02' and up models have a slightly revised fuel injection set-up::YEAH
