Re: 96 yzf 600

I had the exact same bike (now have a 900RR) and that bike is great for learning how to ride, but not a great choice to stunt. It has a steel frame, and has very little power. Like the last guy said, gear the **** out of it!!

Re: 96 yzf 600

i learnd to stunt on a yzf lol good luck i had hell but it is possible....you gonna have to make your own cage nobody makes one for that bike...you gonna need at the least a 60 tooth rear sprocket....the steal frame and subframe will take a hell of a beating but tha motor not so much i blew mine in one summer and a buddy of mine had one and he blew 5 or 6 motors over 2 years time

I own a 95 also. I'm not a serious guy by any means, but it'll do all the regular stuff, but since I never really tried, I don't think with the carb's it'd like being at the slow and circle stuff.

Re: 96 yzf 600

Dont get me wrong it was a good bike to learn on. When you switch to an f4i it's like night and day. You dont notice its flaws untill you get some thing better.

Re: 96 yzf 600

yikes, i kept scrolling down praying it wouldn't be a yfz 600r, i got a 2000 and a 99. there are NO cages in production, NO handbrake kits, NO 12 bars. the handbrake can be afro engineered, a cage must be custom, a 12 bar i think u can fit from an f3, IM NOT EXACTLY SURE IF IT WAS THE F3!! u can fit a 180 on the back, bp is forgiving on wheelies if the carbs are a little off but not on slow stuff. you might as well get a full tune up before trying to slow it down especially on circles. hit me up if u need help or parts or anything, i got a hole in the block of the 2000 600r so im parting it out. MAKE SURE YOUR OIL IS AT THE RIGHT LEVEL! 600r has a lot of swapable suspension parts, forks, swingarms, frame, triple's, clutch baskets etc. not the whole motor for 2000+ nor the carbs
