I don't see why you people are complaining about the magainze scripts when it's not their problem.

But the content is, and you can thank Primedia for that. But don't go off on that guy for being the messenger, he's doing the best he can.

Oh and less chromed out, stretched to ****, bling bling bikes. More stunt esque bikes. This issue has a sweet Moto GP style'd bike in it. Only reason why I picked it up.

I don't think that's what it is, really, because it seems like SSB has someone at most of the stunt events I've been to, and all the comps. I think it's a multiple part problem, the first being the market is still new and small and hasn't attracted enough journalists willing to learn about a new small sport. The second being stunting doesn't yet have enough big events to sustain a substantial part of a monthly mag. Third, I project you've got a best case scenario 50,000 mags sold monthly if you turn out a solid, glossy stuntmag. If you start a straight or even primarily stunt based mag you'll run out of material faster than you think, or your articles will be half assed and basically about the same thing all the time.

The good news is this market will get bigger, a lot bigger, there will be an influx of money, then it will table off, then it will decline to it's actual place in the economic pie chart. I expect a substantial surge. It will seem slow to you guys, but speaking "venture capital", five years is pretty immediate. With that surge will come massive amounts of coverage, attention, and more than a few stunt mags will come along and die out. I think by the time it hits a level base the market will be able to sustain one or two stunt magazines long term.

I've seen similar pre-surge markets, it's always a bit chaotic, and it almost always goes according to projections. The key is in the research. Sometimes what looks like a serious bubble is merely a ripple. I don't think that's the case here.
