02-03 r1 forks i know will fit.but you probably just want to get 05 + r6 forks.might be cheaper

If i were u..im rockin a 04 r6 as my street toy...i would see if its possible to run the new 06 settup cause thats what i did...screw the old conventional forks...get urself a nice inverted fork setup...now im not sure if i will work for ur year, ur gonna have to do some research...but when i did my swap i hadda run new brake lines, and move the postion of the original calipers but thats nothin...hope it helps a lil..clutch it up!:YEAH

they will work for all years... the neck is similar in diameter. you just need to get the whole front end, tripple tree, lower with the stem, etc.

so you have a choice of 00-03 R1, or 03-06 R6 forks. i slapped on some 05 forks, because i had em sittin around.

the second i get some 07 R1 forks for my 06, i am slapping the 06 front end on my 05 stunna!

slapp it all on!!!!

i wouldnt have it any other way!

only thing is the rear wheel is questionable. i have seen peeps put the R1 rear wheel on, with the spacers..... but they just dont seeme to free roll right, but it could be the chain or something else maintinance wise, not the rims.

but with the front... you can slap any wheel on it, just make sure you are rockin the proper size brake disc, because the 310mm on the newer setup will suck *** when they get worn in.

and not to mention doing a whole front end swap is about 20x easier and alot less of a hassle.
