My first at San Antonio
I wanted to say a few things about this weekend’s win. First, this was one of the greatest weekends I ever had. Everybody knows that this is my first Individual Freestyle 1st place win. I have been working up to it slowly, but I thought it would come a little later, being that winter here in Minnesota has frozen us out of six months of practice time.
I don’t post up too much, but I have been thinking for a long time what it would be like when this day came and wondered how it would go down.
Just to let everybody know how cool all of you are in this sport, when the announcement came down that I took 1st, the other guys in the competition didn’t just come over and say congratulations, or good job and shake my hand. They all came over and lifted me up on their shoulders, carried me around and celebrated my first win as if they had won themselves. All of these great competitive guys just dropped it all and showed how much respect they had for each other and thankfully for me too. I have not seen anything but the best from fellow competing stunters; brotherhood and sportsmanship.
I will never forget the glance I got of myself up on the huge jumbotron as you all bounced me on top of your shoulders. I will never forget that! Never! Thank you everybody for that moment and for every bit of help and advice you have given me along the way. All of you guys are the greatest!!!!
Thank you Thomas for doing all that you are trying to do to make this sport better and more legitimate.
Oh also, as unselfish and great sportsmen as all of you guys are; I know you are all out there plotting to make sure this doesn’t happen again. I will be working also!
Thanks guys!!!!
