just got a new motor for my f4i and this question hit me... what kinda motor oil is everyone runnin... i've always just run honda oil but i was wonderin what else is good or better

are you talking about tha castrol for motorcycles?
last time i went to tha shop to get oil i noticed the GTX for four stroke motorcycles and it was about 4 bucks a qt cheaper than anything else and each bottle is acctually a lil more than a qt so that way you only have to buy 3 instead of buying the 4th qt just to use a less than quarter of it

I use Honda Oil from Honda. Have had great luck with it!

 

im not a expert, but from the articles i'v read, penzoil is the WORST possible oil to use.. I "v heard its WAY worse then super tech, and MANY other brands..

Just waht i'v read/heard though.. No personal experience.

 

Honda semi-synthetic here ran it in the 954rr. And just plain honda oil in the f4i, but planning on running some type of cheaper semi synthetic since it gets beat on 10x harderr then the 954rr

 

i had good luck with hondalube and a honda filter......then i switched to castrol with a fram filter (because i was strapped for cash) and blew my rod through the front and back of my number one cylinder. so needless to say im back to rocking hondalube 1qt. overfill with a honda filter.

honda oil is good up until ur bike reaches around 9000 miles ,then u should prob. use something else( that came from a mechanic and my honda dealerships mouth) ......i use bel-ray 10-40w

 

well my motor had nothing, but hondalube since conception and it lasted 35,000 miles 8,000 of which were stunt miles.
