Question about Moose Lever Adjustment

Do you guys tighten the cable at the clutch cover real tight, or leave it loose. The reason im asking, is when i put my lever on, it doesnt seem like i can tighten the cable much compared to the stock. Like it will only tight 1/4 of the way whereas my stock 1 tightened all the way. Thanks

adjust it at the bottom first and use the stock honda adjuster at the top cause the aluminum one is junk

Re: Question about Moose Lever Adjustment

Thanks for the info man. I finally got it dialed in perfect. The first time i put it on, that thing didnt feel easy at all. I guess i just had it adjusted wrong. Now its smooth and easy. I put a fuse inbetween the clutch wires and ziptied them under the triple. Cant even see them so it looks clean. I will take it off later and put the honda adjuster on because yeah the aluminum one is junk. Oh 1 other question, the tiny bolt underneath that holds the lever to the unit, how tight do you want it. I thought i read somewhere that you are supposed to leave that loose. I tightened mine up. Let me know, thanks

Re: Question about Moose Lever Adjustment

word for all the that might get this lever system, dont tighten the cable as tight as you can at the clutch cover. it will not release and start sticking. I went out riding yesterday after i did mine and i felt like i was riding the clutch the whole time, wouldnt even clutch up. i went to a friends house and loosened it at the cover to where there was a little play in the lever but not much, and now its perfect. easy to pull and works great.
