sprockets for pocket bike
sprockets for pocket bike
not sure if any of you know much about pocket bikes...but i'm sure that you do about sprockets.
note that this is my friends bike so idk much about it.
the bike in question is the "R32 Interceptor".

currently the bike has 38 tooth on the back....this is a 110cc bike...we were not able to find any after market sprockets for it tho i found over 100 on ebay but all for 49cc bikes...so i was thinking about just finding one that will fit it.
i looked at the stock one that he has and it basically looks like a regular motorcycle sprocket and its mounted on using six bolts near the center in a round alignment.
my question is, how are sprockets measured? not the teeth measurement but the actual size...why is there a specific sprocket for every bike? are there any universal ones? ..the only way that i can think of is by the diameter of the hole in the center...right/wrong?
p.s. i found one that looks like it might fit, but the auction says that its for a r1 replica pocket bike...

Re: sprockets for pocket bike
just take the original sproket off and take it to a machine shop and have him fabricate one up for you if you cant find one somewhere!
(he'll know how to measure it properly,if he's good)

Re: sprockets for pocket bike
yes you can buy them from pocketbikesunlimited.com!!! if you want to change change the front one, find out how many toth it is in the front and go like -2 in the front..you will lose some top end,if u get a smaller one in the front or biger in the back you will run out of rpms real fast if u have no skill at wheelieing the pocket bike, and u will lose about 2-4mph if u go -2..i would stick with stock for a bit
