Clutchin it up from the side...
Re: Clutchin it up from the side...
so back on topic, how did it go? have you or chan, lin done them? i worked on them some more last night,my tire is getting bald so it's kinda hard to be real consistant, but they are getting better.
Re: Clutchin it up from the side...
last night was pure comedy....a rider out here named dennis seems to have them down pretty good...chan has is decent from just straddling the bike, i saw him try it twice last night, and then saw his new cage put to real good use.....num2 got it once from the side and it was kinda eh looking, hes got it from straddling no problem....and he fucked up last night, and hit his ***** harder then anyone ive ever seen, he layed on the ground for a good 5 mins, went to stand up, and his legs buckled underneat him it was pretty bad

i had one hit the bar real hard and bike went flying
but had some others go real good,i think i need a new tire to keep the launch the same every time,i feel that is key. Re: Clutchin it up from the side...
don't get me wrong,it may help you if you launch it up and jump right off to park or merk, but ive had that for a long time so it was no help to me
key for me is almost no gas(just idle up to maybe 1700rpm)pop clutch out, as soon as it start's to not come up anymore from idle give it a small(and i mean very small and very smooth) blip catch it at the top with the brake

Re: Clutchin it up from the side...
I found that clutchin it from the middle was a huge help for me. The only way I do it from the side is if I do a practice run from the middle, just to get the feel of how much to pop it. I got two back to back the other night. I didn't have any hard hits to my bar at least. It's a really easy trick, only thing is tire has to catch and with no weight on the bike its kinda iffy. I'm really happy cuz we were video taping and I think in 5 minutes of video there is like 30 crashes.
Re: Clutchin it up from the side...
Ok so now we have three guys in AZ that can consistently clutch it up from the side, and "add a little style" at the end. Hopefully after today we will have 5. So far it's Sadim, Dennis and I, chan is almost there, and i'm sure Lin will have it today.
Re: Clutchin it up from the side...
i got em over here in so.cal:YEAH so far im the only one and everyone says i can have it
no one else want's to try it.im editing a funny clip right now from little mishaps to jumpin to speader and gettin some style with it:YEAH you guy's get a clip up,and congrats!

Re: Clutchin it up from the side...
When you get this trick to go smoothly it seems so easy, but then you are all confident and your tire spins and your bike eats ****. It just seems like it needs more gas then it does.
