Re: Check my f4i tank dent. Opinions wanted!
should be fine, I think 1" in front of the gas cap is all you need. All depends if you got a small skinny *** or a fat ***. If you do a lot of standing on the tank and ****. Im on my second tank and love it, wish I went put a little more lip on it, i think yours would be perfect

Thanks for the props everybody. The tank was dented by me and my buddy in the wee hours of the night. We picked up a 1lb and 2lb deadblow hammer for the job. Mostly used the 2lber though. We used a "town" phonebook. Its about an inch thick maybe a little more and it worked really good. I was hitting the corner of the book most of the time. Total time spent was 1hr 20min. and that was taking our time and planning each and every strike to the tank. We used a marker and a piece of string as guides and to try to keep everything even. We started the dent just behind the cap and made a D shape and worked the dent out. Neither of us had ever seen a dented tank in person before so I'm glad to hear we did alright :YEAH
