Crf450 Stunting?
Crf450 Stunting?
I'm thinking about getting a Honda crf450 for stunting. I saw ryan from 50stunt killin the 450 & it looked like alot of fun! How would this be to learn on? I was wondering if it would be easier or harder than a sportbike? It's 6" taller than a f4i will this make it alot harder? It only weighs 250lbs so its lighter than a sportbike will this make it easier to learn on? I have a 50 to practice on too! And is there any kind of custom cage or sliders I can get to protect my engine from crashes? Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: Crf450 Stunting?
i saw a guy wasting cars down a residential street on a CRF450 the other day while i was riding the Bandit, lol he had dirt tires and everything and he was just nailin the cars, going past them like they were going the other way hahahahhaha i gave him the thumbs up!!!!
Re: Crf450 Stunting?
i rode one tonight for the first time ......big ***** ******* power in a little bike woooo hoooo is all i kept saying....
i was rockin some pretty slow first gear wheelies slow enough to be almost stalling it , it was pretty nice to twelve
i tried for an hour to do some sit down circles and got like one crappy one but with a little more gear i think it would make an awsome trick bike ,and maybe a rear peg or two would make it a little more fun too..
oh and it was all super motoed out with the kick *** brake set up and about $2500 worth of wheels and tires, nice bike for sure

It takes alot of fab to get the 450 ready for circle combos n ****, I built everything on the bike. Now I need to built a new motor, cuz that one blew up a couple weeks ago, 2G's just for parts

Re: Crf450 Stunting?
That sucks. So when will it be done? Do you have any closeups of the custom work on the bike so I can get an idea of how to get some stuff fabricated for the one I'm gettin. Anypics would really be appreciated, especially some of the subframe, 12 bar, & how you did your handbrake, but any pics would be appreciated. My email is nyrocketkid@yahoo.com if you could send me some that would be great!
Re: Crf450 Stunting?
my friend is planning on gettin a 450 this summer just wondering how hard it would be for a guy that weights about 110 to do...he will not buy a streetbike to stunt with us and im not sure y lol
Re: Crf450 Stunting?
I wouldn't think weight would be that big of a deal. The 450x only weighs 250lbs which is really light compaired to a sportbike but it is really tall. If he can toutch flat foot it probably wouldn't be that bad.
Re: Crf450 Stunting?
^^^^^
I guess that means that the dirtbikes are harder to stunt on. I wasn't sure if the light weight would help, or be so light that it would make it harder. I have no experience on a dirtbike at all but have always wanted one, that's why I'm asking.
So....Ryan if you get back on this thread, let see if we can answer the orginal question. Thanks.
