stoppies??
Re: stoppies??
its all about the balance point, just like on a wheelie. ...flat pavement is gangsterness. if you start getting really good at it people will give you lots of respect, because everybody focuses on just wheelies nowadays, and a stoppie is a yay or nay situation because there is no backbrake for you to stab, so it requires some big cahones
Re: stoppies??
Hey kx125racer stoppies are pretty straightforward:
1. Go a good 20mph or so.
2. Start loading the front end by applying the brake gently.
3. Pull the brake a little tighter and quicker and lean forward. The rear wheel should come straight up.
4. Drop the brake if you freak out.
Practice. Roll a bit farther every time.
This is how I do 'em. I'm not insanely good, but I can roll a good 30-40 ft.
On dirtbikes though it's a bit tougher, and you really gotta be on the right type of ground (usually grass) to do it more easily. Its possible on pavement but more difficult cause you gotta really work it more forward or the wheel just locks up and the dirt tire knobbies just skid.

Re: stoppies??
that's true. i was reading an article on something called "deliberate practice". Scientists have studied experts in different fields and their practice methods and found that they don't just try something over and over again. They constantly make adjustments to better their performance. through their studies they are pretty much convinced that there is no such thing as talent. look the **** up if u dont believe me. anyway, this puts a curiosity in me though: there may not be such thing as talent in a professional field, but could there be "talent" in knowing how to practice, how much to adjust?... i think i'm on the wrong forum to pose this question.
Re: stoppies??
No, I'm not... but damn bro you say the dumbest ****. THAT IS THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE, you don't Pre-Load the "rear" suspension for a "stoppiiiiiie". And I don't know of one person with a 2 1/2 FT balance point.. try more like 4 ft. You don't know what you are talking about, so don't offer up BS information.
