f4i tail support

just getting ready to put a nice tail section on my bike and was curious what has everyone done to brace the tail so it doesn't put too much stress on the tail. Let me know what you have used

Re: f4i tail support

Powers is suppose to have a subframe support. I think some people said they're going to try and get a group buy together around tax return time. That's what I'm waiting for.

Re: f4i tail support

After reglassing the tail section 3 or 4 times i'd say that it'd be a good idea to buy that support, one of my friends made one just like that at his machine shop, no problems since then

Re: f4i tail support

Fiberglass the inside around corners and mounting holes.

Also, take a piece of wood 1"x4" or something like that, couple sheets of plywood will work too, and wrap it in packing foam. Now put that on your subframe against the part where your feet go for seat standers. Test fit the tail and make thicker or thinner until you can push on the tail when mounted and it feels solid.

Goodluck.
