Salvage repairable title
Re: Salvage repairable title
In PA. You have to get a reconstructed vehicle packet from a notary or the DMV. Follow the directions in the booklet. basicly you rebuild the bike to look as much like stock as poss. Gotta have recipts for any and all parts new and used. If you use used parts you need the vin# from the bike they came from. Gotta take pics from all 4 sides. Take it to an inspection station. Get it inspected then send the packet in with the recipts and pics etc. A little note for ya. on the rear fender make a fender extention to cover just above 1/2 of the rear wheel. just has to be there for the pics. I used a piece of plexiglass and sprayed it black. If ya got anymore questions pm me.

Yeah, Delaware is pretty simlar to PA. You need receipts and Vin #s where you got the repair parts. It is kind of a pain in the ***, but if you get a decent inspector it is not too bad.

they're right. I just did three salvaged bikes in MS. It helps if you know someone at the DMV. Also in MS you have to get someone with a certified mechanics license to sign off on it.
Hope that helps

Re: Salvage repairable title
that sucks.... my f4i was salvaged all i had to do was make it road ready. fairing had a crack so i fiberglassed it and had it sprayed black, my rt rear set was bent in but he didnt notice or didnt care. and once i got the title i had to have it inspected for the sticker.
Re: Salvage repairable title
it all depends on the state, some of my friends in chicago have an easy time throwing bikes together and selling them but down here in florida i've heard that you have to deal with a bunch of b.s. traveling back and forth from the court house to an inspection site and to a police station so they can run vin numbers. good luck. ask your local dmv exactly what your state's prosedure is.
