isn't it only hard to push, because your adding MORE pressure?

So say, if you wanna lock your rear wheel.. you need half as much force on the hand brake, and half as muc hon the foot brake?

I'v never actually hit both my brakes... but i notice when im covering the foot brake, and grab the hand brake, my foot pushes up

No... if you use both at the same time NOTHING will happen, no matter how hard you push... it cancels each other out.

Re: HAI Handbrake

Anybody have any tips or tricks on bleeding the HAI junction valve setup? Or just bleed it like you would bleed anything else?

I personally run a Junction Valve fitting and have no problems with it, i know alot of people that run them also. I also know alot of people that are running the Full Throttle master cylinder set-up. They both work excellent and like anything else there are pros and cons to each one, for example:

HAI junction valve

Pros: Cons:
Cheap may leak
more of a universal Fit not as much feel as Full Throttle

Full Throttle Master:

Pros: Cons:
Most Feel of handbrake set-ups Exspensive
Best Design/ Look Overkill?

As you can see they both have Pros and Cons to them, both will work just fine for you.......

As to the statements of looks and it being to exspensive, As i recall there are hundreds of custom painted stuntbikes that are tricked out with after market this and after market that and brembo this and brembo that.......no matter what anyone says this ***** heading Glam!! hahahaha

either or, whatever you choose, hit us up at www.HAIbikeshop.com and we will be more than happy to help you anyway that we can...........

Re: HAI Handbrake

When you bleed it put your MC on right side up (the way it would be for a front brake) - I mount it backwards on the clip on to bleed it. This part makes a big difference and once it's bled well you can just flip it and mount it under your clutch.

Make sure your resivoir is always full.

While your bleeding the system you can slowly crack banjo bolt open to get air out of the fittings. I also tap the fittings (any elbos, 90 degree fittings, pretty much any junction) with a small wrench. I do the same to the master. If there are any small air bubbles this will move them around.

Goodluck.

Bleed it like anything else, some people prefer to put the hand master cylinder right side up for the bleeding process, i personally leave mine upside down and have had no problems..........
