don't like the throttle on my 929 erion, anyway to remove the exhaust valve?

hey, on my 929 with full d&d i can clutch it up slow and almost drag tail, with my stunt bike i have a bar on it, i just put my 1 down 5 up sprockets on it but i still can't get it up right...again i think it might be the tire but it comes up sideways and uncontrolled and not smooth. I hate hte way the throttle response is with that factory stupid valve thing. Is there anyway to disable that without getting a full system exhaust?

thanks

you can disable it, but I don't think it's going to do you any good. The exhaust valve is operated by a servo motor, that is triggered by the throttle cable position, I THINK. I may be wrong on that, but I'm pretty sure that's how it works. In that, your throttle isn't going to change at all, and your low end jerkiness is going to get worse.

Just the same, it should be a valve of some sort you can remove from inside if you're deadset on taking it off. Pull the exhaust valve assembly out of the header pipe, and take the flapper off of it. You said you have a full D&D. Didn't that remove the exhaust valve?

One other thing: If you don't like the throttle response, your best bet is to try and find somebody with a better map. That's what's so great about fuel injection, you can modify all that stuff with a computer, and tune it to your specific needs. A dyno map, or somebody else's proven-to-work map would be what you need, and you won't have to mess with removing anything.

ya, i think it might be that i'm not on it very much. once i get it street legal i'll be on it more. I think it almost might be choppy because that rear tire is ****ed up or something. I tried running low psi and everything but it still wobbles nad comes up weird.

And yes, i have d&d full exhaust on my yellow bike, on my erionr edition that is my stunt bike i have stock exhaust.

i guess i'll just leave it on and change the tire and just try to work with it.

about the fuel maps, how do i change my fuel maps without gettinga power commander? that could be soemthingi might want.

Also check your chain and cush drive for slack.
You can't do anything to the valve without removing it altogether.
There is no way to change fuel maps without a piggy back tuning device (PCII or III).
Change your tire and use the proper pressure.
Mine always pulls to the right for some reason, just got used to it.
