I know f4i make great stunt bikes but i was wondering if the 04 are still good. that is the year the rr 600 came out and they made the f4i a single seat to i guess compete with the katana style bikes. did't they change the swingarm or down tune the motor? any knowledge would be great.

yeah no its the same bike with a whack seat...

I was at the Honda a dealer last weekend and they had a yellow 2006 f4i on the floor and the seat looked so damn ugly .

The bike looks more like a touring bike now (which is a shame considering the roots the cbr F-series has come from)

I think honda should have called the rr a F5 and continued the series .

 

Id rock a bananna seat to have a (statistically) lower milage rig

 

i have a 04 f4i and i have had others they are all the same sh(t , except the gayest seat no to man kind ! Wires cables evrything else is the same , awesome bike never has problems etc. but i will say the next bike i prob will get is 05 06 636 !

 

so can you buy a double seat sub frame off of an older one to replace the single seat

 

yup, I believe everything should bolt right up with no problems...

 

i have had my share of f4i's and i think 01 motor is the strongest and 02-03 are stronger than the 04 and ups

but you can just swap the subframes, seats and tails to get the look

 

u want the 02 look, change the tail and sit on it backwards, backwards sitting wont help, but the tail's the only difference

The nice thing about the banana seat is it has that metal grab bar on the back for seat standers. I also heard the banana seats are more comfy! But still ugly.

 

I Have A 06 With The 02 Subframe Samething

 

My 05' pulls just as hard as my 01'.

And the banana seat is super comfy... especially in seat stander ect.
